Today we were joined by Dylan Richter. Many of you may know him as the owner of The Sweet Spot in Hillsboro, but today he joined us to share about his experience working at DoorDash.

Dylan told the team about how he was able to get a career in a field he enjoyed after college, but ultimately wanted something that could provide him a little more flexibility and opportunity to use his creativity. This led him to joining the startup world by finding a career at DoorDash.

He worked in numerous roles, many of which revolved around trying to get various types of customers for DoorDash. He shared that learning how to get customers and keep them coming back is crucial, as “everything we do is sales.”

Dylan told the team that if their ideas have a 100% success rate, that they probably didn’t try to execute on enough ideas. You have to be willing to be bold and try new things, knowing they might not all succeed.
